Meet the President
Anthony “Tony” Trombetta is the President and primary grader of EGS. He has been collecting and reading comics for over 40 years of his life. As an adolescent, he worked for several years at Galaxy Comics in Norwalk, Connecticut. There, he learned to evaluate and price comics using the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. During his adulthood, Tony has actively involved himself in the community; attending conventions, visiting comic book stores, and keeping up-to-date on current events online through social media. He has also taken continuing education coursework oriented towards restoration detection and grading based on standards provided in the Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics. Since founding EGS in 2018, Tony has personally graded thousands of comic books both for customers and for promotional events of business associates. His personal and methodical approach to grading has allowed Tony to gain a keen eye for accessing the condition of any book that comes across his desk.
